The CeramTec Switzerland team participated in the 3rd European Congress of Ceramic Implant Dentistry, which took place from September 25 to 27, 2025, in Horgen, near Zurich.
Under the theme “Facts of Ceramic Implants Part III”, the congress offered an extensive three-day scientific programme, including practical workshops and lectures by 27 distinguished international speakers.
Among the speakers was Dr. Alessandro Alan Porporati, Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs at the CeramTec Group, who gave a presentation titled “Metal as an Independent Risk Factor for Infection: Evidence from Hip Arthroplasty”. His lecture bridged insights from orthopaedic and dental applications of ceramics, highlighting the interdisciplinary relevance and proven performance of advanced ceramic materials.
The congress programme covered a wide range of topics – from the fundamentals of ceramic implantology and biomaterials to clinical evidence, guidelines, new technologies, and interdisciplinary approaches – providing practitioners and researchers with valuable insights for their daily work.
“CeramTec Switzerland is honored to have contributed to the congress and looks forward to continuing its commitment to ceramic implant dentistry,” says Dr. Ina Wüstefeld, Managing Director of CeramTec Switzerland.
