Year in review 2023

The year 2023 is drawing to a close. The festive season is just around the corner and the end- of-year spirit is omnipresent. We are looking back on an eventful year with a several highlights and forward-looking changes.

The Zeramex Congress was certainly one of the highlights of 2023. It was packed with presentations by renowned speakers such as Dr. Jens Tartsch, Prof. Dr Ralf Kohal, PD Dr. Dr. Michael Gahlert, Dr. Joseph Choukroun, Dr. Dr. Thomas Mehnert, Dr. Marc Balmer, Dr. Thomas Franke and Wolfgang Weisser followed by lively discussions, collegial exchanges, and lasting insights. One of the most important take-aways: the data collected as part of an analysis of 410 Zeramex XT ceramic implants, which Dr Thomas Mehnert presented at the congress, speaks for itself: the survival rate of Zeramex XT is 97.76%.

The DGZI module "Ceramic Implants" in Mainz was the first subject-specific DGZI module as part of the Implantology 2.0 curriculum and thus a first milestone in advanced dental training.

We also took part in various interesting events, such as the DGZI and DGI congresses (EAO annual meeting), ADT and successfully held two training courses in collaboration with PD Dr. Dr. Michael Gahlert and PD Dr. Dr. Stefan Röhling and were able to gain many new Zeramex XT users.

We are even more pleased that we will continue to proactively shape the ceramic implant business in the market as CeramTec Switzerland in the new year. As a technology leader in the field of high-performance ceramics, we want to improve dental implantology in the long term through evidence-based and aesthetic solutions for the well-being of patients.

We would like to thank you for your trust and cooperation in 2023 and look forward to 2024.

We wish you all the best for the coming festive season, a happy and restful time with your family, and a happy New Year!

The year 2023 will end soon. But the future is natural, white, and digital.

Dr. Ina Wüstefeld & your Zeramex team
